Atlanta Technical College Partners with WFF, Waiving Application Fees at Transform Westside Summit

Atlanta Technical College (ATC), a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia, has agreed to a long-term partnership with Westside Future Fund  after ATC President Dr. Victoria Seals spoke about the power of technical education to transform lives at the June 7 Summit. As part of the partnership, ATC willparticipate in WFF’s bimonthly Transform Westside Summits with representatives on-site sharing with prospective students how they can get started at ATC.

“We are proud to be at the forefront of workforce development, and our involvement with Westside Future Fund’s Summit events provides another platform for us to reach prospective students,” said Dr. Seals. “We have enjoyed having a consistent presence at these events, and we look forward to continuing to build relationships with our neighbors and with Summit attendees each month.”

Dr. Victoria Seals, ATC President, shares about the available opportunities at ATC.

Located on Atlanta’s Historic Westside, ATC is investing not only in the Westside community but also in its workforce by preparing students for high-wage, high-performance careers.

“ATC enables success through dynamic career readiness programs in a competitive global economy, which has been a powerful way to impact the Westside community,” said Adam Sweat, ATC Associate Vice President, Communications, Marketing and Public Relations. “We are dedicated to this neighborhood and to our city, and we believe education is a proactive way to invest in the area.”

Continuing this commitment to the Westside, ATC representatives will answer questions and assist with the application process during the Friday morning WFF Summits. Those who apply at the Summit will have their ATC application fee waived.

“We’ve seen an influx in applications at Summit events,” said Sweat. “People have expressed a great deal of interest, particularly with the opportunity to apply for free. We look forward to continuing to eliminate barriers on the Westside by equipping our graduates to succeed.”
