Featured Presentation: Keith Parker, CEO & President, Goodwill of North Georgia

Keith Parker, still new in his role by a few months, discussed his transition from leading MARTA to taking over at Goodwill of North Georgia and highlighted similarities between his personal background and conditions in Atlanta’s Westside communities.

He further emphasized the success of the Goodwill infrastructure in affecting outcomes related to economics, education and the environment over its 45-county geographic footprint. With 59 of 60 of its stores operating profitably, Goodwill of North Georgia generates $700-$900 million in economic impact each year and is the largest local nonprofit in the state of Georgia.

Parker concluded his presentation by outlining Goodwill’s deep history on the Westside and potential opportunities to bolster its career services efforts in the community.
