The PwC Charitable Foundation Awards $100,000 Grant to Support Westside Future Fund

The PwC Charitable Foundation, Inc., is investing in Atlanta’s Historic Westside by providing a $100,000 grant to Westside Future Fund intended to fund their new and expanded STEM opportunities at Hollis Innovation Academy. In conjunction with this grant, PwC is committing to provide 1,000 volunteer hours over two years in support of this work.

“We are deeply grateful for the PwC Charitable Foundation’s generous support,” said Cristel Williams, director of development for Westside Future Fund. “Our team is excited to engage with PwC in service, and we look forward to the growing impact we’re sure to accomplish together on Atlanta’s Historic Westside in the years ahead.”

In conjunction with the PwC Charitable Foundation’s Reimagine Grants program, PwC is engaging people to drive impact in key areas of the Foundation’s mission to benefit underserved populations in the communities in which they live and work.  To receive a grant, a charity’s efforts must advance diversity and inclusion, and support underserved groups struggling to adapt to a fast-changing world by increasing access to the education needed to qualify for more meaningful, higher-paying employment.

“Our people care about the communities in which they live and work, and our culture of giving is a distinctive point of pride at PwC,” said Kevin Kelly, Atlanta office managing partner for PwC. “Whether through the volunteer efforts and financial contributions of our people, or through the charitable efforts of our firm and the PwC Charitable Foundation, our outreach aims to increase the collective impact we can make. Westside Future Fund has made a difference in our community, and we feel fortunate to be able to contribute to the impact.”

Westside Future Fund is grateful for its many supporters like the PwC Charitable Foundation and looks forward to continued collaboration among the sponsors, neighbors, residents and volunteers that form such a dedicated and invested community.
