The doors of the On the Rise Financial Center are officially open!
On Thursday, April 20, the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions (Federation), in partnership with Equifax, welcomed the community into its new facility, located at 810 Joseph E Boone Blvd., NW.
The Center will serve as a resource for Westside individuals, families, and small businesses to build financial health and wealth, providing financial counseling and coaching, savings accounts, and small dollar loans to help Atlanta’s Westside residents and their families achieve their financial goals.
The Center was first announced in June 2016 and is part of the Westside Community Retention Collaborative’s strategy to provide resources and on-the-ground support for current and future residents.
The Collaborative includes organizations such as City of Atlanta’s Department of Planning and Community Development, the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, Atlanta Housing Authority, Invest Atlanta, Atlanta Beltline, Atlanta Habitat for Humanity and the Westside Future Fund. The Collaborative also receives guidance and input from members of the community.
The Center was made possible by the generous support of Equifax, the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, Invest Atlanta, and the collaboration of community development credit unions including Credit Union of Atlanta, Peach State Federal Credit Union, 1st Choice Credit Union, and Bond Community Federal Credit Union.
