On behalf of the Westside Future Fund and The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, please save the date for the third Westside Collaboratives’ Summit on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (EDT) at The Gathering Spot (384 Northyards Boulevard NW Building 100 Atlanta, GA 30313). As most of you know, we have convened a number of collaboratives working with residents to accelerate progress in the positive transformation of people and place in the core Westside neighborhoods of Vine City, English Avenue, AUC and Ashview Heights. During the 2016 summits we focused on the current and projected goals for each collaborative (Community Retention, Education, Economic Inclusion, Health) and had residents share their stories, hopes, challenges and successes.
The theme for this collaborative summit will be: “Alternatives to Gentrification: Building the Beloved Community in the Westside.” We encourage your attendance and participation and would love for all residents to bring neighbors and friends from the community. We know this topic is of great and immediate concern and anticipate that there will be a lot of interest from many stakeholders in addition to residents. Our priority is for residents of English Ave, Vine City, AUC and Ashview Heights and collaborative members to attend and participate.
