Owner-operated, Westside-based Cute Shuttle Will Partner with Westside Future Fund to Offer Free Rides to Transform Westside Summit Events Beginning July 19

Beginning July 19, The Cute Shuttle, a company created to easily and effortlessly transport riders, will offer free, scheduled pickups on Atlanta’s Historic Westside to help residents get to and from the Transform Westside Summits hosted by Westside Future Fund (WFF).

Westside-based and female-owned, The Cute Shuttle specializes in short-distance commutes and is proud to support its Westside neighborhood and community by offering this service.

“When I moved to Atlanta in 2010, I quickly got involved with organizations like Choice Neighborhoods and Westside Future Fund,” said Auna Tyson, founder of The Cute Shuttle. “Being a resident of the Westside, I encouraged members of my community to attend neighborhood meetings and WFF’s Summit events, but I kept hearing from residents that they had no way of getting there. I remember thinking, ‘If only I could get them there.’”

Now, she can.

Tyson and her shuttle company will help address this need by offering a transportation option for future Summit events with the help of WFF. The shuttle will make scheduled stops on the first and third Fridays of each month at two locations: the At-Promise Center (740 Cameron Madison Alexander Blvd. NW) and Hollis Innovation Academy (225 James Brawley Drive, NW). Passenger pickups at these locations will occur every 10 minutes between 6:50 and 7:30 a.m. Passenger drop-offs from the Gathering Spot will occur every 10 minutes between 9 and 9:30 a.m. No registration is required to ride the shuttle. Simply show up at one of the pickup locations for a ride.

Initiatives like this are making an impact on the Westside, said Tyson, who is proud of the ways her company has been able to support the neighborhood.

“In 2018, we were approached by the City of Atlanta and the Mayor’s Office of Resilience,” she said. “They tasked The Cute Shuttle with developing and piloting a program that would provide green transportation solutions. Funded by the city, the Courtesy Ride Program leveraged electric vehicles to provide a free transportation option for Westside residents to six resourceful places around the area.”

Outside of its involvement with WFF’s Transform Westside Summits and its dedicated work on the Westside, The Cute Shuttle offers a modern mode of transportation, shuttling riders to and from concerts, sports events, parties, weddings, reunions, festivals, school functions, private communities, shopping malls, hotels, resorts, tourist attractions and more.

“We have a strong passion for clean energy, clean transportation and convenience,” said Tyson. “As we look to the future, we hope to restart the Courtesy Ride Program and expand our footprint to offer more resourceful destinations along our routes in more communities across Atlanta.”

Starting July 19, catch a ride on The Cute Shuttle on the first and third Fridays of each month and join WFF for a Transform Westside Summit.
